Your Work Will Be Tested By Fire

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | November 9, 2021

From today’s reading...

On this foundation, different people may build in gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay or straw but each person’s handiwork will be shown for what it is. The Day which dawns in fire will make it clear and the fire itself will test the quality of each person’s work.” 1 Corinthians 3:12-13

How good is your work?

If a man says “I do,” then spends the next 50 years breaking his vows every chance he gets, was he really married?

Similarly, just because you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior at that tent revival with the charismatic preacher man back in ’97 and actually started reading your Bible for a few weeks afterward, but haven’t walked your talk since, are you sure you're saved?

Will your body of work stand the test of time and the purifying fires of God?

Unless the answer is a resounding, unequivocal YES!, then you best get to righting those wrongs and maybe even sign up for some of those free remodeling and construction classes at the local big box hardware store, which might be your only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
