From today’s reading...
He will judge the weak with integrity and give fair sentence for the humblest in the land. He will strike the country with the rod of his mouth and with the breath of his lips bring death to the wicked.” Isaiah 10:4
Who will do this?
The shoot that springs forth from the stock of Jesse (v1).
He will not judge by appearance (v2) but by your actions and your heart.
We will know who He is because, as the root of Jesse, he will stand “as a signal for the peoples,” (v10b), (maybe like Jesus lifted high on the wooden cross, i.e., a shoot from a tree and now He is “sought out by the nations and its home will be glorious” (v10c)?).
The rod of the Good Shepherd MUST strike down evil.
Make sure that’s not you.
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
