Judged As Your Deeds Deserve

Written by Wes Schaeffer | November 25, 2022

From today’s reading...

I saw the dead, great and small alike, standing in front of his throne while the books lay open. And another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged from what was written in the books, as their deeds deserved.” Revelation 20:12

Little kids always say, “My dad can beat up your dad,” because we know, innately, that physical power is important, especially to young, immature, inexperienced little boys.

Unfortunately, most of those little boys grow in age, but mentally, morally, and intellectually stall at around 11 or 12, which is why wars wage between nations, within nations, within inner cities, and within HOAs, PTAs, and even Facebook groups.

To these stalled individuals, physical power is all that matters because they have lost their faith—if they ever had it at all—and with no faith, you have no moral compass, and with no moral compass, it’s impossible to properly form your conscience, and with no properly-formed conscience, power is all that matters, and when power is all that matters, the end justifies the means, which is why they say, “All is fair in love and war.”

This is why the devil is always fighting, attacking, destroying.

He and his minions are powerful and ceaseless in their destruction. However, they are not all-powerful. Our heavenly Father can beat the father of “the Abyss” (v1).

In fact, our heavenly Father is so powerful that He has “the key of the Abyss” (v1) and overpowers “Satan, and chained him up for a thousand years” (v2b).

So the good news is that the good Father beats the father of evil in the end, which is also when the Father will judge you according to your deeds.

He sacrificed His only Son for you to save you from the evil one, so you best thank Him and...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
