Don't Be Naturally Stupid

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | November 12, 2021

From today’s reading...

Yes, naturally stupid are all who are unaware of God, and who, from good things seen, have not been able to discover Him-who-is, or, by studying the works, have not recognised the Artificer. Fire, however, or wind, or the swift air, the sphere of the stars, impetuous water, heaven's lamps, are what they have held to be the gods who govern the world.” Wisdom 13:1-2

You must be a fool to look at a beautiful wedding cake and bow to it, kiss it, hug it, and worship it while ignoring the chef who made it.

The created is never greater than the Creator.

Heck, it’s not even equal to the Creator.

This applies to the moon and the stars, the galaxy and the universe, the trees you want to hug, the crystals you want to wear, and the bowls you stroke to make hum.

Don’t shoot the messenger.

I’m not calling you “foolish” and “stupid” for worshipping these things and ignoring God.

I just agree with the labels, which have persisted for longer than that big tree you say loves you oh so much.

Get your worshipping straight since it’s the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
