Sin Is Master Everywhere

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | October 8, 2022

From today’s reading...

As it is, scripture makes no exception when it says that sin is master everywhere; so the promise can be given only by faith in Jesus Christ to those who have this faith.” Galatians 3:22

Sin is everywhere.

It’s in our schools.

It’s in movies for children and adults.

It’s in drag queen story hour.

It’s on national TV where grown men applaud twerking boys.

It’s in our hearts as seen how we react when someone sits in “our” spot at church…or is slow getting out of the parking lot after the service.

Sin is covered up by forgotten and/or dishonest taglines such as “Don’t be evil,” “First do no harm,” and “ethics in media.”

Sidebar: Did you know there is an International Federation of Journalists that is nearly 70 years old and that their core values of journalism are truth, independence, and the need to minimize harm? Did you also know that U.S. journalists adopted the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), with their own code, whose preamble states that “an ethical journalist acts with integrity” and calls on them to: (1) seek truth and report it, (2) minimize harm, (3) act independently, and (4) be accountable and transparent? I didn’t either. How’s that working out for us? But I digress.

Why do I focus so much on media and journalists when discussing sin?

Because the first victim in  war is the truth, and big business, big pharma, mainstream media, and the politicians they buy are colluding to kill the truth in a futile effort to kill the Truth.

But that doesn’t mean they can’t harm the Truth and harm the more vulnerable who believe the lies.

Open your eyes.

See the proliferation of sin and the liars who sell it as good, as normal, as preferable and fight them, which is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
