How To Always Avoid Condemnation

Written by Wes Schaeffer | October 23, 2021

From today’s reading...

Thus, condemnation will never come to those who are in Christ Jesus, because the law of the Spirit which gives life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2

What does it mean to be “in Christ Jesus?”

Are you in Christ if you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior at a tent revival in a pasture when you were 18, and now you’re on your third marriage, haven’t paid child support to the baby momma you saw in between your second and third marriages, and you’re also skimming a little off the top from your company because the work you do for them is just not appreciated?

Is that remaining in Christ Jesus?

Salvation and condemnation is an instant journey.

You’re always at risk to screw it up, but you’re also always able to immediately turn things around. As Paul reminded us all in Philippians 2:12, “So, my dear friends, you have always been obedient; your obedience must not be limited to times when I am present. Now that I am absent it must be more in evidence, so work out your salvation in fear and trembling.”

The only way to work out your salvation and remain in Christ Jesus is to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Now go sell something.
