Throughout history, there are countless stories of parents sacrificing themselves for their children in times of war, famine, and natural disasters.
There are also many stories of soldiers giving their lives for their friends in combat.
But how many (good) stories have you heard about a father sacrificing a child of his?
We cringe as we read the story of Abraham and Isaac, despite knowing it has a happy ending.
But do we really understand the sacrifice God made in sending His only Son to suffer and die for you and me?
Sit with that for a minute.
Once you understand the power of that sacrifice, you’ll be better prepared to...
