From today’s reading...
God had anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and because God was with him, Jesus went about doing good and curing all who had fallen into the power of the devil.” Acts 10:38
How powerful are we when we have the blessings of our father?
To answer that question, look at how weak society is today, with nearly 24 million children in the U.S. living in single-parent homes, with 15 million of them in mother-only households. 64% of Black and 52% American Indian kids are most likely to live in a single-parent family. The devil knows we are powerful when we are united, when the family is strong, which is why he does all he can to attack the family.
If he can isolate the child, there is no end to the damage he can do.
This is why children need both parents in the home to thrive.
They need a mother and a father, which is how God made us in His image.
He made us male and female.
This three-as-one family structure resembles and emulates God’s nature—one divine being as three distinct Persons—Who created all things for good.
Your mother and father welcomed the Holy Spirit into their relationship.
They invited the Spirit into their physical union (three is not a crowd when the bride and groom invite the Holy Spirit into their union), without which you never would’ve come into existence.
Now here you are, a spiritual being with a physical presence, enabling the formation of a new earthly, familial trinity of mother, father, and child.
Jesus is nothing without the Trinity.
He is everything with it.
So are you.
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
