About Those Who Would Deceive You

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | January 2, 2018

From today’s reading...

“I write you these things about those who would deceive you.”

Every. Single. Day. You are being sold and pitched...if you’re lucky. You’re being deceived, manipulated, and swindled if you’re not lucky.

Every single day.

Today John even asks “Who is the liar?” (1 Jn 2:22)

Because since Cain and Abel we’ve had jealousy and deceit in our hearts.

However, it’s not all bad news.

We’re not destined for destruction.

In the same reading, John lays out the clear and simple plan we can all follow to avoid the lies, the deceit, the destruction.

Confess. Listen. Remain...

“...so that when he appears we may have confidence and not be put to shame by him at his coming.”

Now you know why you must…

Stay the course.

Keep the faith.

Endure.

Now go sell something.
