From today’s reading...
When Jesus heard this he said to them, ‘It is not the healthy who need the doctor, but the sick. I came to call not the upright, but sinners.’” Mark 2:17
The Pharisees were like your banker who won’t give you a loan when you’re young and need it because you haven’t established any credit, but they are at your doorstep begging for you to borrow from them when you are well-established and don’t need their money.
They were like the interviewer who will only hire someone with experience, but how can you get experience if you don’t get hired?
The Pharisees shunned anyone who was not “perfect” like them. Ha! But Jesus knows what’s up.
As the doctor of love, compassion, and salvation, Jesus goes to where the sickest and most injured are because they need Him the most.
In other words, He goes to you and me, which we need to...
Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.
Now go sell something.
