Pick Up Your Stretcher

Posted by Wes Schaeffer | January 13, 2023

From today’s reading...

he said to the paralytic-‘I order you: get up, pick up your stretcher, and go off home.’” Mark 2:11

It’s good to have friends who will carry you across town, barge through a crowd, and bust a hole in a roof to get you the help you need when the opportunity arises.

Since Jesus said to the paralytic, “My child, your sins are forgiven” (v5), I take that to mean the paralytic was a believer and he had good friends, who took action on his behalf.

So have faith.

Take action.

Surround yourself with good friends who will do the same, since that is the only way to...

Stay the course.
Keep the faith.
Endure.

Market like you mean it. Now go sell something.
