From today’s reading...
Hannah then prayed as follows: My heart exults in Yahweh, in my God is my strength lifted up, my mouth derides my foes, for I rejoice in your deliverance.” 1 Samuel 2:1
Hannah gets a little sassy now, but it’s understandable.
She had been mocked for years, but now she is with child and is bursting with pride and joy and is not shy about taking pleasure from the fall of her foes. (Why a wife has foes is another story, but it shows how petty and cruel we have always been to one another.)
Notice how Hannan prayed for a son and how, once her prayer was answered, she prayed in thanksgiving for receiving that which she asked.
Be like Hannah.
Pray to God always, especially when you are thankful, which you should always be since it’s the only way to...

Endure.
